Children become eligible to attend school in the September following their fourth birthday. Reception children will attend full-time from September. To make the transition from home to school as smooth as possible, we have a number of pre-school procedures which include:

  • Four Induction Visits to the school

These visits help your child to become familiar with the school and their new teachers; these include a visit during a lunch hour to familiarise your child with the lunchtime routine.

  • Induction Evening for parents of reception age children

What happens and how do we work as a school to support your child's education? This induction evening tells you all that you need to know about starting school for your child.

  • An Induction Pack including a booklet for children to complete before entry

What you hear at the Induction evening is reinforced by the content of this pack.
