PTA

The PTA is an enthusiastic and committed group of parents who seek to encourage all parents to contribute to the life of the school. We have a strong team of committee members dedicated to raising funds and organising fun events for both the children and their families. However, we always welcome and encourage any help from parents/guardians, no matter how small, to help support our fundraising efforts. Without the help of many we could not carry out some of our bigger events.

Our main events include a Halloween Party, Christmas Fair, Pancake Flipping, Easter Egg Hunt and the Summer Fair, but we also hold tea, coffee and cake sales. All of these social functions intend to help strengthen the bond between parents and school.

Other regular and one off events include Cash4clothes collections, filming and photographing of the yearly productions and organisation of the children's own Christmas Cards.

The funds we raise are spent very wisely. We consult with the school to finance school projects, such as art days with visiting teachers Mrs Elliot and Mrs Cosens, storytelling music sessions, living history visits from Vikings, trips to the Saints Rugby Stadium etc, and continually support the purchase of page turners and non-fiction books. We also subsidise the cost of some external school theatre trips.

Other projects have included outdoor reading sheds and bean bags for the field and an undercover art area, supplies and game table tops for the playground.
